T&W Plans Committee 23 July – 3 housing applications relating to Newport.

The list of applications to be considered at the 23rd July 2014 T&W Plans Committee includes proposed reductions in the affordable homes elements for TWC/2011/0821 -land off Wellington Road and TWC/2011/0827 – land off Audley Avenue.The latter application also appears to propose that the developer, St.Modwen, pay a sum of money in lieu of providing a sports pitch to replace those lost to the housing development.
An application to build 111 residential dwellings and 108 continuing care units (TWC/2014/0333) will also be heard. This replaces the application approved some years back for a 209 unit Continuing Care Village on the land opposite Mere Park Garden Centre.
