Talk on Town Plan

A representative from the Newport Town Plan Steering Group will be giving a presentation on the progress of the Town (Parish) Plan process in advance of the questionnaires which will be delivered to residents and businesses in Newport starting from the first week of October 2013.
The Town Plan is seen as representing the voice of the people of Newport and it is hoped that it will be influential in the decision making processes of not only Newport Town Council but also Telford and Wrekin Council.
The presentation will also be of interest to those from the rural areas around Newport who use the shops and services in Newport following on from its traditional role as a ‘market town’ serving its rural hinterland.
The event is being held on Tuesday 24th September 2013, commencing at 7.30 pm, at St.Andrew’s Church Hall, Church Aston TF10 9JG.
Newport and District Civic Society will be hosting the evening. Non-members are very welcome to attend and to ask questions on any matters relating to the proposed Town Plan.
