Presentation by Veolia – Civic Society speaker meeting on the 28th January 2020.

‘Newport & District Civic Society will be holding its January meeting on Tuesday 28th in St. Andrews Church Hall, Church Aston TF10 9JG at 7,30pm, the speaker is Ruth Jones, from the Communications and Engagement Office for Veolia Telford & Wrekin based at Hortonwood . The talk will be about the local recycling service in Telford & Wrekin – how to use the service, what happens to the materials and also education and community initiatives delivered by Veolia. So if you have ever wondered which bin to put your aerosol cans in – come along to find out.
How Telford & Wrekin has compared nationally with recycle rates over the last decade will be discussed and how they intend to continue to increase the level of recycling within the Borough with more initiatives like the food waste project’
The presentation will be followed by a short question & answer session and while refreshments are available informal discussions can take place..
All are welcome to attend and the normal rules apply to admission, free to members and £2 for non members to cover the costs of refreshments and hall hire costs’
