Newport’s Mayor spoke at the Newport Society- their last meeting of 2016

Cllr Lyn Fowler spoke to the Newport Society’s last meeting of 2016 on the future challenges and issues for the town. Cllr Fowler covered the duties of the Town council as well as her own reflections on the opportunities ahead as well as challenges for the future.
She encouraged town residents to engage with the Town Council and to tell them what they wanted.
The lively QA session covered roads, parking, ‘studentification’ of the town, lack of green space and inappropriate housing development and much more besides.
