Flood Risks on or from new housing estates. Talk by Telford and Wrekin Flood Risk Officer.

A joint meeting of Newport Civic Society and Sustainable Newport Shropshire (previously known as Newport 21), is being held on Tuesday 26th February 2019, at which John Bellis, the Flood Risk officer at Telford and Wrekin Council, will give an insight into his role supporting households in a ‘flood prone zone’ together with how the potential flood risks are assessed in planning applications and what measures can be taken to reduce the risk of flooding either on a new proposed development or to existing adjoining properties/land or further down stream of any developments.

Everyone is welcome. The presentations will be held on Tuesday 26th February 2019, 7.30 pm in St. Andrews Church Hall , Church Aston TF10 9JG.

A small charge of £2 is made for non-members to cover hall costs and refreshments.
