Wojtek Behnke – Aqualate Estate’s Manager, and descendent of the Boughey family, following on from his very well received talk in February 2023, by popular demand, has agreed to continue his talk about his vision for the estate with minimal damage to the environment; the many ways in which he is transforming the approach to farming and land management on the estate together with some of the major challenges facing British farming both now and for the future.
The talk will be held on Tuesday 26th September 2023,commencing at 7.30 pm at Newport Cricket Club.
Annual membership is £12 per individual; £20 per couple. Membership can be taken up at our meeting on 26th September 2023, to be held at our usual venue Newport Cricket Club, where the bar is open, for our monthly speaker meetings.
£4 charge for attending an individual speaker meeting without taking up the offer of membership.

How they feel about the Car Parking in town – so vital to their survival !
What the impact is of buildings being propped up !
How their businesses are doing ?
And many other matters that are critical to the Town centre’s survival.

It is approximately 10 years ago that Cllr Shaun Davies gave a presentation of his detailed “Vision for Newport”. Many of our members were in attendance at the presentation. We have invited Cllr. Davies to review the successes and how the Council see the future for Newport over the next decade. Either Cllr Davies or a member of the Council’s Cabinet will attend.

Newport Civic Society have arranged a free event on Monday 24 July 2023 at 7.30 pm, for a ‘tour and talk’ of Haberdashers’ Adams Grammar School hosted by the school Headmaster Mr Gary Hickey. Meet at 7.25 pm at the rear entrance to the school on Beaumaris Rd, TF10 7BN.
