Aldi & Lidl plus Tibberton housing applications at T&W Plans Board 2/7/14

The T&W Plans Board approved the application by Aldi to build a foodstore on the former Focus site.
They rejected the application by Lidl for a foodstore on the Mere Park Garden Centre site. However, a representative from Lidl told the Plans Board, before it made its decision, that Lidl would operate out of the Garden Centre building if (as it was) the application for a separate foodstore building was rejected.
On an application to build 60 homes in Tibberton, the Plans Board went against the recommendation by officers and turned down the application.
On a separate application on a different site in Tibberton to build between 25 to 34 homes, the Plans Board deferred a decision requiring further information from officers.
